The Editorial Board of the Caucasian Medical Journal plays a vital role in maintaining the journal’s quality, credibility, and ethical integrity. Below are clearly defined roles and responsibilities for the Editorial Board members.
Editor-in-Chief
- Provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the journal.
- Ensures adherence to the highest ethical and editorial standards.
- Makes final decisions on manuscript acceptance or rejection based on reviewers' evaluations and editorial recommendations.
- Oversees the editorial processes, ensuring fair, unbiased, and timely reviews.
- Represents the journal in external academic and professional platforms.
Editorial Board Members
- Provide subject matter expertise to guide journal policies, content scope, and quality.
- Actively contribute to the journal by submitting, reviewing, or recommending high-quality manuscripts.
- Promote the journal within their professional networks to attract quality submissions and enhance visibility.
- Participate in regular meetings to discuss journal policies, standards, and strategic developments.
- Advise the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors regarding journal direction, emerging research trends, and editorial policies.
Editorial Assistants and Administrative Staff
- Manage the day-to-day operations and communications for the journal.
- Facilitate manuscript submissions, tracking, and correspondence with authors and reviewers.
